Pass a Resolution
A resolution is an official document of position voted upon and issued by the City Council in response to issues of contention. It allows a given municipality the opportunity to voice its opinion in a way that mere letters or articles do not.
Below is a template for a resolution as provided by the Ohio Municipal League (OML). Originally generated in response to HB 601, this template can be used in response any and all detrimental tax legislation. We encourage all municipalities across Ohio to draft and pass a resolution against the most current piece of harmful uniformity legislation, HB 5. We ask municipalities to then submit their resolutions opposing HB 5 to Ohio United for inclusion on this website.
